  RUSSIAN SPACE PROBE FALLS INTO OCEAN  
  The unmanned Russian spacecraft which 
  misfired just hours after take-off,   
  has ctashjd into the sea.             
                                        
  Thjte were fears that the "Mars 96"   
  probe would land near Canberra in     
  Australia. It eventually landed in    
  the Pacific Ocean near Chili.         
                                        
  The spacecraft had been destined to   
  go on a 10-month mission to Mars.     
                                        
  It was carrying scientific equipment  
  from 22 countries including Britain.
