 FORJTS FRUSTRATE POTENTIAL BACKERS     
 Nottingham Forest's future has been    
 thrown back into confusion with a £24m 
 takeovjt bid from the Nigel Wray       
 consortium now in doubt.               
                                        
 The consortium, which also includes    
 Irving Scholar and Phil Soar, made an  
 offer with a provisio that it must be  
 voted on by February 13.               
                                        
 But Forest have not called a meeting of
 shareholders until February 24.        
                                        
 A consortium spokesman said they would 
 now consider whjthet to extend the     
 deadline for their proposals.
