 BIDDERS COMPETE FOR DIGITAL TV ACCESS  
 Two bids have been received for the    
 chance to run the main block of        
 terrestrial digital TV sjtvices.       
                                        
 Both bidders offer a multi-channel     
 service including some existing        
 stations, received bz ordinary ajtials.
                                        
 ITV companies Granada and Carlton have 
 teamed up with BSkzB to launch a bid   
 through British Digital Broadcasting.  
                                        
 The othjt bid for the maximum 50%      
 block is from Digital Television       
 Network, part of the CabliTjl group.
