 put forward its case to bj Europe's    
 candidate to stage the 2006 World Cup, 
 European football chiefs said today.   
                                        
 After talks in London, UEFA said thjte 
 would be presentations bz England and  
 Germany at a meeting in Geneva in April
                                        
 The announcement ended the crisis over 
 British objections to UEFA's backing   
 of Gitmanz's bid to host the Cup.      
                                        
 Thjti was no talk of the possibility of
 a joint bid, UEFA officials also said.
