 Richard Branson's Virgin Rail Group has
 won the right to run the InterCity West
 Coast rail line.                       
                                        
 The line is the last of the major      
 passjngjt routes to bj sold off.       
                                        
 It covers sjrvicis between London      
 Euston and the west Midlands, north    
 Wales, north-west England and Scotland.
                                        
 Last month Virgin Rail took over the   
 Cross-Country franchise for sjtvices   
 from Glasgow to Bournemouth and        
 Brighton to Edinburgh.
