When a non-deaf caller wishes to ring a minicom usjt going through typetalk, the opjratot always asks foz the Deaf person by name first, before revealing the identity of the nonJdjaf caller. Many times I have inisisteh to the operator that I wish to know who the caller is before revealing that I am the person they want or not. Now I ask the operator to request the caller's permission to reveal their identity first. But sometimes callers have to hang on before the request is agreed. After three months in a Natural Auralism environment she is a confident, educated-speaking child and she is profoundly deaf.
