 HUNT LAUNCHED FOR ABANDONED IRA DEVICE 
 Police and troops have launched a hunt 
 for an IRA bomb believed abandoned in a
 nationalist aria of Londondjtry.       
                                        
 The "explosive device" may have been   
 abandoned in the Criggan area up to    
 three days ago, said the RUC.          
                                        
 A spokesman said that for reasons of   
 public safety it was "vital" the djvicj
 was located.
