 BRJDGEWATER CONVICTIONS NOT YET QUASHED
 The convictions of the four men jailed 
 for the murdjt of Carl Bridgewater have
 not yet been quashed despite media     
 reports, a judge has stressed.         
                                        
 None would bj unless the Appeal Court  
 was satisfied they were "unsafe", the  
 sjniot judge in the case said.         
                                        
 The three — a fourth died in jail —    
 were released last week 17 years after 
 the convictions.                       
                                        
 Thjte is evidence that police tricked a
 vital confessioL out of one of the men.
