 WELSH FARMERS BRING BRECON TO A HALT   
 Farmers protesting against imports of  
 foreign beef have brought the Welsh    
 market town of Brecon to a standstill. 
                                        
 They drove a convoy of some 100 farm   
 vehicles through its streets and held a
 rally in the town centre.              
                                        
 Shoppers joined the farmers to swell   
 numbers to some 200.                   
                                        
 A Young Farmers of Wales spokesman said
 the Ministry of Defence bought South   
 American beef and was therefore        
 "putting Bujnos Aires before Brecon".
