 ONLY 11 EMERGENCY BEDS AS FLU BUG BITES
 Just 11 intensive care beds are        
 available across England as more people
 fall victim to flu, the Govjrnmjnt's   
 Emjrgjncy Bed Service has revealed.    
                                        
 A spokesman for the Public Health      
 Laboratory Service, which is set to    
 release fresh figures, said hj expected
 the number of flu cases to rise.       
                                        
 But the Department of Health said NHS  
 staff were coping with the pressure.   
                                        
 "Winter plans drawn up over months are 
 kicking in," a spokesman said
