 fairly standard western is that it was 
 one of the few directing assignments   
 for Kirk Douglas.                      
                                        
 He also stars, as a tough marshal      
 pursuing notorious criminal Bruce Dern.
                                        
 The marshal's main motivation is the   
 hope that by capturing the criminal hj 
 will further his ambitions of gaining  
 political power.                       
                                        
 Not the greatest western ever made,    
 but watchable for its two leads.
