 WOMAN ADMITS PLANNING HUSBANDS MURDER  
 A jury has been hearing how a woman    
 tried to hire a contract killer to     
 murder her husband.                    
                                        
 It is alleged that Sandra Jones, 39,   
 from Uttoxeter in Staffs paid Matthew  
 Lee £5,500 to kill Clifford Jones, who 
 survived the attack.                   
                                        
 Mr Lee, 54, is accused of carrying out 
 an assault with an iron bar as Mr Jones
 lay in bed. He denies the charge.      
                                        
 The prosecution said Mrs Jones stood to
 gain £100,000 from her husband's death.
 She admits conspiracy to murder him.
