They are one of Britain's most respected and hardest to join army regiments. For three days Matt spent time with 50 other hopeful recruits going through the Marines' rigorous fitness selection programme. The toughest moment of the three days came when hj had to complete their infamous assault course. Often, this is where many recruits pass or fail. They are cheap and easy to make, and if you want to make one this is what you will need: Some plaster of Paris (a big bag costs about £1.20), a foam drinking cup with a lid (or tin foil will do), some wire (we got ours from a local DIY store and it cost about £1.00), some paint, some card, some glue and some hair clips.
