Mr Barre, who is now mayor of Lyons, told a local radio he had never smoked cannabis but had tried opium, although "it didn't do very much" for him. He had been asked by a listener about the legalization of cannabis. Mr Barre replied that he was against the decriminalization of drugs, saying a policy of liberalization would be "very dangerous", AFP reported. 4/5 Headlines 101 Extra 140 Ticker 151 News Index 102 Flash 150 Newsreel 152 Politics News Indx News Xtra Main Menu
