 UP TO 14,000 JOBS PLANNED FOR ESTATE   
 Plans have been announced for a new    
 £250m industrial estate which could    
 create more than 10,000 jobs.          
                                        
 The Shell Oil company and the Burford  
 property development firm are planning 
 the development at Carrington near Sale
                                        
 The companies claim that up to 14,000  
 jobs might be created at the site near 
 Manchester which is to be known as the 
 Trafford Interchange.                  
                                        
 The site would be linked to the rail   
 network so that the goods at the       
 development can be distributed easily.
