I have been wondering recently how the millennium celebrations went for everyone - how did you celebrate this special time in history? A number of deaf-organised parties were held across the UK, and I am sure some readers would be keen to know how they turned out. Why not write in to Read Hear and let everyone know how you celebrated? The Read Hear address is on page 640 Subtitles News Letters Main Menu

Anything unusual? I would also like to encourage deaf and HOD related organisations to make use of the letters page and Comment slot. It is great to share your views and information where possible. Do you have anything special lined up for the coming year? Is your region planning something new? Then do write in! The Read Hear address is on page 640 Subtitles News Letters Main Menu

Digital TV, a new Mayor for London and many advancements in technology are sure to bring about change and perhaps increase access for us all. There are also the usual deaf/HOD conferences and events. What do you think of all this? Also, BSL users are positively encouraged to send in video letters or make an appointment to come and see mj. English skills do not matter! It is what you have to say that counts, and it is disappointing that some people may feel they cannot write in. We all have the right to access to information, and this should be achieved in whichever way you like. The Read Hear letters page is YOURS - do make use of it!
