 BRITISH GAS PRICE SINKS AGAIN          
                                        
 Shares in British Gas continued to     
 slide on further consideration of      
 Tuesday's news that it is to lose its  
 household supply monopoly from 1996.   
                                        
 Gas shares closed 1p down at 334p — a  
 fall of 23p since Monday.              
                                        
 Simon Flowers of NatWest Markets, which
 has for some time labelled the shares  
 hold-undjrpjrform, said hj expected the
 price to drift further.
