 P&O SELLS MODERN TERMINALS STAKE       
                                        
 Shipping to transport group P&0 has    
 sold a stake in a Honk Kong container  
 port terminal for £117.4m.             
                                        
 The sale reduces P&0's stake in Modern 
 Terminals to 5% and will provide the   
 group with an exceptional profit of    
 about £44m for 1993.                   
                                        
 "The disposal is part of P&O's policy  
 of reducing its interest in operations 
 it does not manage," the group said.
