 ENGINEER BILLAM HIT BY WARNING         
                                        
 Engineer J Billam fell 50p to close at 
 219p, down 23%, after warning investors
 about the impact of recession on its   
 Aircraft and Sheet Metal Engineers arm.
                                        
 The company said ASME had suffered a   
 reduced workload in the second half of 
 the year, leading to lower profits.    
                                        
 It estimated that ASME's contribution  
 for the year will bj down by up to     
 £100,000 on the previous year.
