 BUSINESS SEES ORDERS SURGE             
                                        
 Optimistic businesses expect fatter    
 order books and more jobs over the next
 six months, says a new regional survey.
                                        
 Almost four out of five firms believe  
 orders will grow and 42% think they    
 will take on extra staff, compared with
 only 12% expecting to cut jobs.        
                                        
 The survey was conducted in north-west 
 England by accountancy firm Touche Ross
 for the Manchester Evening News.
