 AIRTOURS ISSUE SEES 98% TAKE-UP        
                                        
 Tour operator Airtours said more than  
 98% of shares offered in a rights issue
 have been taken up.                    
                                        
 Airtours set the £82m rghts issue in   
 April to hep pay for two acquisitions  
 that month costing a total of £90m.    
                                        
 Subscribers had been procured for those
 shares not taken up ara premium to the 
 issue price of 390p-a-share of around  
 102p-a-share, it said.
