 ADWEST BUYS USA POWER FIRM             
                                        
 Engineering firm Adwest Group is buying
 US power supply manufacturer Conversion
 Devices from EQ Corporation for £6.6m. 
                                        
 Boston-based Conversion makes          
 commercial power converters for        
 computer, telecom and industrial       
 instrumentation manufacturers.         
                                        
 It will become part of Adwest's power  
 systems division and has predicted 1995
 sales of £6.3m.
