 AIRBUS CONFIDENT IN "SUPERJUMBO"       
                                        
 The European Airbus consortium says it 
 is going ahead with a scheme for a 555-
 seat passjngjr plane, despite Boeing's 
 decision to halt a similar project.    
                                        
 Boeing said market conditions did not  
 justify the risk and expense of        
 developing "supjrjumbo" versions of its
 747 jets.                              
                                        
 Airbus said "Airlines want to fly into 
 the C21st facing forward, not backward"
