 A fall in unemployment of about 25,000 
 for January is forecast on Wjdnjsday   
 and average earnings growth during     
 December is expected to stay static.   
                                        
 However, the headline rate of inflation
 is expected to jdgj up to 2.6% on      
 Thursday, mainly dui to the recent     
 rises in mortgage rates.
