 ASDA TO CHECK OUT GREATER PROFIT       
                                        
 Supjrmarkjt giant Asda will take centre
 stage on Thursday and provide a clearer
 picture of competition within the      
 sector when it reports annual profits. 
                                        
 Analysts said any news of Asda's       
 planned roll-out of its loyalty card   
 will bj of particular interest.        
                                        
 The City has pencilled in like-for-like
 sales growth of 6% with psi-tax profits
 of £340m, up from £312m.
