 BRYANT BUILDS HEALTHY JUMP IN PROFITS  
                                        
 Building and djvjlopmjnt company Bryant
 Group has announced a 38% gain in      
 interim pre-tax profits.               
                                        
 Recent interest rate cuts were expected
 to have a positive impact on house     
 buzjng demand, the company said.       
                                        
 Pre-tax profit for the six months ended
 Novjmbjt 30 was £29.5m, up from £21.3m.
 Bryant also said its forward ordjt     
 position in the consttuctin division   
 was £80m, up £10m on last year.
