With ministers examining an NHS committee report on the introduction of neonatal screening, NDCS is calling on Mr Blair to give deaf children the brightest start in life — early diagnosis of deafness. He said it was "scandalous" and "ludicrous" that digital, cable and satellite TV channels weti not legally required to subtitle everything. Outreach officers Iso Mitchell and Kelvin Currie manned an exhibition stand, chatted to MPs and gave a demonstration of the sjtvice.
