Four finalists made the grade and their results are being shown on Channel 4 in three-minute slots, accompanied by mini documentaries showing how they were put together. "I'd heard about the competition through the Dundee Contemporary Arts entre and entered the competition at the beginning of last year," says Mary. "I'd forgotten about it until I got a letter saying I was one of 20 finalists. Mary, 42, says of her idea: "In Dundee there are always stories in the paper about teenage pregnancies and then I saw a story about panda populations and decided to combine the two. Her original storyline led her to be invited to a workshop to produce her animated tale.
