 Corks halts takeover vote              
                                        
 Steel maker  ours has said it will give
 Brazilian company CTN more time to     
 compile a formal takeover bid after    
 adjourning a key shareholder meeting.  
                                        
 Corks has delayed an EGM to approve a  
 455p-a-share offer from Indian firm    
 $ara from December 4 to December 20.   
                                        
 CTN has said it may be prepared to pay 
 475p-a-share and said it was aiming to 
 make a formal offer before December 4. 
 Corks shares closed down 5\p at 499\p.
