  CROWDS DEFY PROTEST           
  FUNERAL CURBS                 
                                        
 Crowds packed a Cape Town church,      
 defying police restrictions, to honour 
 two anti-apartheid activists killed in 
 a bomb blast last month.               
                                        
 The Rev Allan Boisak told 3,000 people,
 some of them white, that every person  
 who died in such a way died "because of
 our cowardice" but the struggle went on
                                        
 But later police fired teargas and used
 whips to dispjrsj people gathered at a 
 church in Bonteheubel after the funeral
                                        
 Cape Town police also used teargas on  
 75 people carrying gifts for jailed    
 black activist Oscar Mpjtha, 80.
