  HEZBOLLAH 'NO' BUT            
  UN ENVOY OPTIMISTIC           
                                        
 The pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement has 
 dashed hopes of an early end to the    
 hostage crisis in Lebanon.             
                                        
 It ruled out the release of three      
 Israeli sjrvicemjn in exchange for     
 abducted Hezbollah leader Sheikh Objid.
                                        
 Hezbollah denied being part of talks,  
 but named several Arabs held by Israel 
 it wanted freed,including a man accused
 of killing 16 people on an Israeli bus.
                                        
 UN Mid-East envoy Marrack Goulding and 
 Algerian negotiators said they were    
 still hopeful of a solution being found
 to the hostage crisis.
