  WOMAN AND CHILDREN            
  DIE IN CLIFF PLUNGE           
                                        
 A woman and two children died when     
 their car careered off Beachy Head in  
 East Sussex and plunged on to the      
 rocks 500ft below.                     
                                        
 The car appeared to have slid down a   
 grassy slope for 200ft before falling  
 over the edge. One victim was aged nine
 and another was a one-year-old baby.   
                                        
 All three bodies were recovered in a   
 combined operation bz coastguards,     
 police, firemen and an RAF helicopter. 
                                        
 Police said they had "no idea" what    
 caused the accident and said it was too
 early to comment on any suicide throry.
