 final on a court of unjvjn bounce.     
                                        
 Ljconte pulled off the more spectacular
 shots but Forget held his game togjthjr
 better throughout, adding this victory 
 to successes over John McEnroe and     
 Jonas Svjnsson at the event.           
                                        
  American teenager Pete Sampras took  
 the first prize of almost £20,000 at   
 the Manchester Open with a hard-fought 
 final victory over Israeli Gilad Bloom.
                                        
 Sampras, 18, eventually had the edge in
 two tie-breakers to win 7-6 (11-9) 7-6

 They shared breaks in the final set    
 before Mecir's new-found confidence    
 proved too much for the flamboyant Noah
