 Blaine McCallister hit a four-under 67 
 to take a one-stroke lead over Jay Haas
 after the second round with US Open    
 champion Hale Irwin a shot further back
                                        
 McAllister had six birdies and two     
 bogeys in his round which put him on   
 133 while Haas birdied the last four   
 holes for his second straight 67.      
                                        
 Irwin birdied the last hole for a 69   
 and was tied with David Peoples on 135.
                                        
 Mike Donald, who lost the Open play-off
 to Irwin, is also handily placed on 138
 after following up his opening round of
 70 with a 68.
