 The Soviet spy ring started in Britain 
 in the 1930s was far larger than the   
 "Cambridge Five" so far exposed, a     
 former KGB London controller said.     
                                        
 Colonel Yuri Modin, who ran double     
 agents Kim Philby, Guy Burgess, Donald 
 Maclean, Anthony Blunt and John        
 Cairncross, could not name the others. 
                                        
 Only the identities of those he        
 controlled had been revealed to him.   
                                        
 He told ITN in Moscow that there was no
 truth in reports that MI5 chief Sir    
 Roger Hollis, who died in 1973, was    
 also a double agent.
