 CASH BOOST FOR ASTHMA RESEARCH    
                                 
 The National Asthma Campaign has       
 announced new research grants worth    
 more than £1.3m.                       
                                        
 One will help Glenfield Hospital in    
 Leicester examine inflammation of the  
 airways of the lungs in asthmatics.    
                                        
 Another will go to the John Radcliffe  
 Hospital in Oxford where scientists are
 studying gjnjs which predispose people 
 to certain allergies.
