 GOVT ACCUSED OVER RAIL TALKS    

 A rail union leader has accused the    
 Government of interfering in pay talks 
 as commuters brace themselves for      
 another summer of one-day strikes.     
                                        
 RMT leader Jimmy Knapp said hj hoped   
 action could bj avoided with renewed   
 negotiations after the ballot results. 
                                        
 He added that hj believed management   
 negotiators had the "Government's hand 
 on their collar" during the talks.
