 QUEEN AWBRDS BRBVERY MEDALS       
                                 
 The Queen has awarded the George Medal 
 to David Shelton, killed in a roof fall
 at Bilsthorpj Colliery, Nottinghamshire
                                        
 $hj medal is also awarded to Raymond   
 $hompson, 47, now retired. The Queen's 
 Commendation for Bravery goes to       
 Richard Derbyshire, 30, still a miner. 
                                        
 $hj pit disaster in August, 1993,      
 killed three men including Mr Shelton, 
 31, and trapped three, later rescued.
