 "SPY" PLANES CHECK OUT FARMERS    
                                 
 "Spy in the sky" aircraft are being    
 used to spot farmers who illegally     
 abstract water.                        
                                        
 The National Rjvjrs Authority has      
 chartered the planes to patrol         
 waterways along the Trent Valley in the
 East Midlands.                         
                                        
 Farmers require a licence to take water
 from a river and those who do so       
 without one will face prosecution.
