 NEW CITY CENTRE CAR BAN           

 Vehicles are to bj banned from another 
 part of Birmingham city centre under a 
 new £1m pjdjstrianisation scheme.      
                                        
 Officials are hoping that work will    
 start next year on a new "safe shopping
 zone" stretching from Lower New Street 
 to High Street at St Martin's Circus.  
                                        
 In order to remove buses, a new bus    
 station area will bj built at St       
 Martin's Circus.
