 STEEL'S SON JAILED ON DRUG CHARGE 
                                 
 The son of former Liberal leader Sir   
 David Steel has been jailed for nine   
 months for growing cannabis plants at  
 his home in the Scottish Borders.      
                                        
 Ponytailed Graemj Steel gave a thumbs  
 up to friends as hj was taken away from
 Edinburgh's High Court.                
                                        
 Police found 40 cannabis plants and    
 booklets on how to grow it in a raid.  
 His father refused to comment.
