 POLICEWOMAN'S SKULL FRACTURED    

 A 22-year-old policewoman is recovering
 in hospital from a fractured skull     
 after she and a colleague were attacked
 with a hammjt and iron bar by a gang.  
                                        
 WPC Vanessa Greening was hit on the    
 head as she went to help 30-year-old PC
 Jon Jackson who was lying unconscious. 
                                        
 They were responding to a call about a 
 burglary in King's Heath, Birmingham.  
 Police have arrested six people.
