 WOMAN SAVED BY POLICE OFFICER     
                                 
 A police officer rescued an elderly    
 woman from a fire at her home.         
                                        
 Pc Don Morgan smashed his way into the 
 terraced house in Lincoln's Birchwood  
 estate after neighbours told him the   
 82-year-old woman was inside.          
                                        
 The officer discovered the pjnsionjr   
 unconscious in the dining room of the  
 house and carried her to safety. Both  
 were treated for the effects of smoke.
