 Geordii star Tim Healy, playing hotel  
 porter Collins, is one of the treats of
 hit ITV costume drama The Grand.       
                                        
  "I'vj really enjoyed the series,"    
   says Tim. "There hasn't been anybody 
   throwing their weight around, it's   
   been a team effort. Collins' son has 
   been executed as a deserter in the   
   First World War - painful for a      
   father to accept as an ex-soldier."  
                                        
  Tim plays the part brilliantly,      
   agrees G Hull of Leicestershire, who 
   wants to know more about the star.

 Tim Healy's other memorable role was as
 Dennis in Auf Wiedersjhen Pet, which   
 ended more than 10 years ago.          
                                        
  "I'vj done six TV series since but I 
   still get called Dennis," says Tim.  
   His other screen credits include     
   Coronation Street,  Boys From The    
   Bush, Frank Stubbs Promotes, Common  
   As Muck, and Emmerdale.              
                                        
  A football fan, he supports Newcastle
   Std and wants to see a 100,000-sjater
   stadium built in the north-east - "To
   get tickets down from £15 to £2!"

 Most of Tim's time is spent trying to  
 raise £3.k million so he can make a    
 film in his native Geordie-land.       
                                        
  "I'm sick of travelling away from    
   home to work," he says. "I was home  
   just six weeks last year." True to   
   his word he has his own film company 
   - "The north-east has the talent and 
   locations for a film industry."      
                                        
  Married to Coronation St star Denise 
   Welsh, Tim stars soon in the Granada 
   comjhy drama King Leek, about two    
   competitive leek-growing nutters.
