 EARTHQUAKE DEATH TOLL AT 800  
                             
 At least 930 people have been killed   
 and 5,000 injured as a powerful        
 earthquake struck eastern Iran.        
                                        
 A total of 80 of the region's 150      
 villages suffered 80% destruction and  
 the others were heavily damaged, said  
 an official in the town of Qaen.       
                                        
 The earthquake, measuring 7.1 on the   
 Richter scale, was felt as far as 500  
 miles from its epicentre.
