 COBBLERS TO OPEN TALKS WITH OLDFIELD   
                                        
 Northampton are to open negotiations   
 with Luton Town midfielder David       
 Oldfield in the next couple of days.   
                                        
 The Cobblers are one of several clubs  
 chasing the former Leicester man, who  
 is out of contract at Kinilworth Road. 
                                        
 Northampton boss Ian Atkins expects to 
 start immediate talks with Oldfield    
 when the player returns from holiday   
 early this week.
