 FILM STAR'S OLYMPIC BID OVER     
                                        
 Actress Geena Davis has lost her battle
 to become an Olympic archer after being
 dumped out of the US trials.           
                                        
 The 43-year-old, who took her first    
 archery lesson just two years ago,     
 finished 24th out of 28 women competing
 to reach Sydney next year.             
                                        
 The star of Thelma and Loujsj and The  
 Fly njedjd to make the top 16 to make  
 the final trial and said: "I think I   
 did well. I was very happy."
