 EXPLOSION ROCKS MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE 
 The Queen has said she is shocked and  
 saddjnjd bz today's van bomb blast in  
 Manchester which injured 204 people.   
                                        
 Bomb squad officers weti examining a   
 suspect vehicle when the bomb exploded.
                                        
 There was widespread destruction, with 
 40 metres of the front of the Arndale  
 Cjntti demolished by the blast at 1120.
                                        
 By this evening all but 13 of the      
 injured had been released from hospital
 — one of them is a pregnant woman who  
 was thrown 15ft into the air.
