 UN CONFIRMS SERB REVERSALS IN BOSNIA   
 UN officials in Sarajevo say they have 
 no reason to disbelieve reports of     
 Croatian and Muslim military gains in  
 western and central Bosnia.            
                                        
 They also say that although NATO air   
 strikes have not hit the Serbs' ability
 to fight back, they have hampered their
 capacity to reinforce threatened areas.
                                        
 Bosnian Serbs today confirmed they lost
 the town of Jajce to Croats yesterday  
 following heavy fighting. See 161/162  
                                        
 The UN says the Serbs have lost around 
 6% of their territory and around 40,000
 people are fleeing the fighting.
