 "BAPTIST" GRANT PAVES WAY IN MONTSERRAT
 Labour's Bernie Grant has likened      
 himself to John the Baptist as hj      
 "prepares the way" for Govjrnmjnt      
 minister George Foulkjs in Montserrat. 
                                        
 The minister is due to arrive on the   
 volcano-hit island tomorrow.           
                                        
 Mr Grant said islanders who had fled to
 Antigua feel "virtually abandoned" by  
 Britain — and 200 want to go to the US.
                                        
 Mr Foulkjs also used a biblical        
 metaphor — saying hj faces the "lion's 
 den" when hj gets to Montserrat.
